This is a thread about a loudspeaker I have never heard or never even seen in real. Since I live in Europe this is a very exotic speaker. Sure we know the Watt/Puppy and I have even seen the bigger animals of Wilson Audio in European shops but never have I encountered the Cub. And let me be clear: this is about the CUB I. I don't like the looks of the CUB II.
First of all: I like the proportions and the way they are being out of proportion even on the massive stands.
Now why do I think they are so good? First of all: I am a firm believer of the D'Appolito principle. And the D'Appolito's I do know the JM Lab mini Utopia and the JM Lab Aria Point Source. All fantastic sounding speakers and they share the tweeter: the great Focal inverted titanium dome.
In Europe they are very rare. If I would find a pair with stands for not too much I would buy a pair for fun.
Who can share experiences about this wonderful loudspeaker?
