15 years hard to believe it has been that long.

Some very quiet people have been doing a lot of things right that it has not happened again We owe them.

I know lots of things have gone wrong in the world since then but I think it would have been a lot worse if it was not for people we will likely never meet.

As I was riding home from hiking today, I could see the Freedom Tower glistening in the sunlight. Hope springs eternal.

A firefighter went into a gym early in the morning on 9/11/16 and asked if he could use a stair machine. He explained he wanted to walk 110 sets of stairs in full gear to honor his fallen comrades. The gym staff of course said it was fine. The gym attendant snapped this photo as he started.

For some reason, there is one photo that always stuck with me from that day. It came from an online archive that was made into a book and the original site was called HereIsNewYork.org. Only the thumbnails are left on the site but I was able to find this smallish pic after an extensive search.
