My review of the little P3ESR
Hey boys,
I just wanted to hip you all to my review on these half-pint sized loudspeakers. The video is super basic, but hopefully the content is at least somewhat useful. : )

Re: My review of the little P3ESR
So, when you get right down to it, these are limited range, limited dynamic, limited loudness speakers that have a midrange voicing that you like. - Joke! Pretty nice review and gave me a feeling for what they sound like and that is what I generally want from a review. As a spectator, I suggest you move a little further away from the camera, as you were a little too much "in my face" and I moved back a little from my monitor. Also, even though one can't really tell what a speaker sounds like by listening to a computer, it would have been nice to have had the speakers playing in the background with the type of music it plays well. Then, when a particular music passage occurs that they reproduce very well, you could interrupt your monologue to point that out. That could give added clarity to your description. I don't mean these as criticisms, as you did much better than I could have, but just things that I thought of while watching.
Regards,
Steve

Re: My review of the little P3ESR
Great review! Definitely a nice speaker for the genre of music you mentioned.

Re: My review of the little P3ESR
Hey Steve,
First and foremost, thanks for watching! Secondly, thanks for taking the time to strum up some useful feedback!
I totally agree with your first observation. The funny thing is that I thought I nailed the framing. That is, until I looked at things in post. I honestly flirted with the notion of re-filming the entire review, but given how difficult it can be to execute a non-scripted review, I decided against it.
As for sound clips: Man, you have no idea how much I want to add this kind of content! Back when I started Zero Fidelity, this was all a part of the plan. The big stinker that's prevented me from sticking to the plan has been... copyright laws. The first videos that I uploaded contained this type of content. Unfortunately, most of those videos were flagged. The only video that I decided to keep up was a sample of the Klipsch RF-7 II's playing a couple tracks.
Still, I may say screw it, and go back to offering up samples of the system playing various types of music. And not just cliche Hi-Fi stuff either.

Great job. Enjoyed that. And agree with your analysis.

System 2: Matrix Element X -> Exposure 3510 -> Heco Direkt.

Steve - The good news is that fines rarely happen. The bad news is that it *is* possible for your channel to get shut down for at least a month or so. I'd like to avoid either situation.
Jax - Thanks for watching, and thanks for the compliment!

Re: My review of the little P3ESR
The P3ESR are impressive indeed and they don't need much power to sing. Loved them for the short time I had a pair.

Allen - Thanks for watching, and thanks for those very kind words.
Dan - Even though your time with the P3's was brief, it sounds like they managed to make a positive impression. Glad you had a chance to own a set.

Re: My review of the little P3ESR
Youtube is blocked here and I had to log on to a VPN to watch the video.
The video resolution is great I could see so much detail of the speaker (and your face too)
I've always been a fan of monitors and will stick to them until moving to a bigger room.

Re: My review of the little P3ESR
Joe - Thanks buddy!
Rob - I appreciate your comments. Yeah, my face was kinda... prominent wasn't it? hehe I'm a tower guy at heart, but I love it when a small speaker can do awesome things.
Paul - Thanks for watching! I've only heard the Rogers LS3/5A in passing. I'd *love* to spend some quality time with those speakers.

Re: My review of the little P3ESR
I owned and compared side by side with P3ESR and LS3/5A. I'm a huge fan of Harbeth ( owned every models and just purchased the M40.1 again and waiting to get shipped ) but I had to let the P3ESR go. The Rogers are special but again if you prefer the modern sounds of BBC monitor sounds you might prefer the P3ESR. Hope you to hear them in your place. If we live close by I would love to loan your pair.

Re: My review of the little P3ESR
I've only heard the P3ESR once, and it was a less than optimal setup. I'm sure the huge room, amongst other things, were to blame. I owned the Spendor 3/5 R's, and liked them very much. Since this thread has spread to Rogers, let me throw one more in to the mix. Has anyone heard the Falcon 3/5's? Herb Reichert has sang their praises in the pages of Stereophile. I find it interesting, that they have a 15 ohm impedance.

Re: My review of the little P3ESR
Paul - I'm sure the Rogers sound wonderful! If I ever get a chance to hear or even review a pair, I'll be sure to let you know!
Fjn - It's funny you should mention the Falcons. They look pretty awesome as well.
At the end of the day, there's a lot to be said for these type of loudspeakers. They may come in a variety of different flavors, but all of em' seem to maintain a very likeable charm.
