HD Tracks music restrictions for Canadians
I'm wondering if any Canadian downloaders have noticed the restrictions in download availability for HDtracks music for Canada? I hate it, when you are browsing for music and you aren't able to download it because of this? It's not like you get a physical product, just a download. This reminds me of the Netflix fiasco with USA getting better access to movies.
All the music that they restrict is freely available as an iTunes download in Canada and also in CD format so what gives?
I'm wondering what would happen if I just changed my physical address to one down in the USA if I could then download. Anyone try this?
Thanks for reading my rant

As a former Canadian, I share your pain. You have the wonderful CRTC to thank for this. Damn communists who tell you what you can and cannot hear and watch. The reason is because of their BS Canadian content rules. To which my response has always been: if it's good enough to get played or watched, then it will get bought whether it's Canadian or not. If it's not good enough, then it shouldn't need Government intervention. Absolute rubbish.
Changing your address might help, but likely not. They likely block all IP's from Canada. You need to use a program that masks your IP with a US IP.My Systems: http://www.audioshark.org/showthread...481#post158481

Re: HD Tracks music restrictions for Canadians
I sure hope when Ponomusic store comes online that they will not have this silly restriction. Their website is up and running in a beta format right now with over 1.2 million songs populating so far.

Re: HD Tracks music restrictions for Canadians
I figured I better test the IP address and installed CyberGhost.
Works like a charm!
Thanks for the tip Mike.

Re: HD Tracks music restrictions for Canadians
Prostudiomasters.com has most of hDTracks as well as quite a bit of stuff not on HDTracks.
