    Hi Dan,

I think M-Project cabinet and driver design is their future. Not easy to integrate these features into their existing line.

Is Irv Gross back with Magico or was the author confused? Irv might have been representing Constellation.

    LVB,

AVShowroom video that Le Roy posted of Q7 MKII sounded really good. Much more organic than any other Q7 video I've heard.

You are correct. Irv left Magico a bit over a year ago and now works for Constellation.

I could be wrong, but weren't the S7's in prototype form? Not sure its fair to comment until someone has heard the finished product.

The more I see things like this thread regarding Magico, the more I believe man evolved into two completely different genetic pools as it relates to the temporal lobe and auditory cortex---those who love and those who hate Magico. I am not trying to be belligerent, but I am always amazed by the polarity which occurs around Alon's work. It never seems to be "I kinda like it" or "I kinda don't". Rather it seems to garner more extreme reactions from people.

Why fly a prototype product to Munich, unless you thought it was ready for prime time?

I wonder about it myself. I think it is somewhat primal and expose some of the different reasons people are attracted to the hobby. You can see an example of that reading the Magico threads that are mostly critical as oppose to the Wilson or Raidho threads that are typically congratulatory.

    Paul,

I know what you mean but I think Magico and Soulution have moved towards a more organic sound.

My experience at Axpona, was that the Q7 II's were all Magico.

There were countless Wilson threads on forums for years with polarizing viewpoints. Cant play the woe is me card...

When we all hear the final product, I am sure we will all change our tune. I can't see them not being unlike the fabulous MPro. Obviously not as good, but I bet they will be great.

Showing prototypes in Munich.... I guess there is good and bad with everything.

True dat. Still are a lot of Wilson critics. Raidho has been drubbed as well. That said, I still think Magico wins the polarity war.

I only hope the final production version will be more slim. The prototype was wider that it was deep (or so it looked).

The Q7mk2 demo with Soulution was actually quite good, certainly the best Magico/Soulution I've heard. Still, I would very much like to hear it with the Lampi instead.

I listen to my S5s with Lampi everyday and I'm kind of spoiled.

I should rephrase that - The general shape will not change maybe an inch here or there but it will essentially be and look the same.

That seems to suggest to me that you prefer the Lampi to your Trinity DAC, but I may misinterpret.
