    Re: Why clean power !!!

I just ordered a Consonance d-linear 15 power conditioner from Grant Fidelity. I have many flourescent bulbs in the house with my aquariums and sometimes get brown outs in the summer. It will be interesting to see how much of a difference it will make in my system. I plan to use it with my front projector as well as audio.

Albert, that Consonance looks like a very interesting design that I was previously unaware of. Thanks for mentioning it and please let us know your findings after you receive it. Thanks!

Hey Volks, have you found anything negative in using Consonance power line conditioner? Has it had an affect on the dynamics or masked any detail? I have read some positive reviews about it in terms of quieter background and surge protection but nothing negative. There doesn't seem to be a lot about it, I would greatly appreciate your impressions.

Volks, thanks for providing us with your favorable impressions on the Consonance! You have a beautiful system, but the top shelf of that SolidTech rack is just 'begging' for a nice turntable!

Albert i have had my Consonance D-LINEAR 15 power conditioner for over 2 years now .....it replaced a Torus CS15. I could not be happier with the Performance/Quality of Consonance D-LINEAR 15.

The last thing i want a power conditioner to do is dramatically change the sound of my system and the Consonance did not do that thankfully, but what it did do was slightly improve the background into ever blacker quieter passages within the music..........everything "Faded to black" with any music i played .....this resulted into very rich harmonics and a perfect tonal balance thruout my system.

A few weeks ago the area i live in went thru a battery of spikes/surges and the usual horrible power fluctuations that we tend to experience on the Canadian Prairies.
The Consonance D-LINEAR 15 took these inconsistencies in my power and did not trip/stagger.My lights flickered on/off above me and at the time i was making popcorn so i had a popcorn maker on and when the spike/surge came the popcorn maker shut off right away, but my Audio System kept playing music....the surge/spike did not shut down my system, but everything else in the house blinked/shut off ...........i was so impressed......i would easily recommend the Consonance D-LINEAR 15 to anyone in the market for an excellent Power surge/filter.

Wow, that sounds impressive! Thank you very much for sharing your experiences with it, I am really looking forward to testing mine out when it comes. I am also in the Canadian prairies and I have no doubt I will experience similar results.
