DAR Part 1 Part 2

The Lio sounded great at Axpona paired with the Harbeth speakers. They were one of the better sounding rooms.

Ha! Digital Darko has discovered vinyl and admits it trumps digital (if only looking at the Lio). Hell has frozen over.

I agree, the Lio sounded very nice at Axpona and Vinnie is one of the good guys for sure. I would have liked to seen him use a chassis similar to the new ML integrated and leave room for a bigger Power Supply for uhh....more power. 25 watts seems a little light in the old loafers. Admittedly, it didn't sound light on the Super HL5+'s at Axpona. [emoji11]

Given all that this product can do and it's brilliant modular approach and very very fair price, it's definitely going to give the Peachtree boys something to worry about.

If I were to buy the Lio, I would want it as a DAC and preamp with the tube output. 25wpc is too little for my tastes but it did sound very dynamic with the Harbeth's. The Lio can be configured any way you like. The modular system is genius, more companies should take note. In talking with Vinny, he stated he is working on a more powerful amp section. He and his wife seem like good people.
