Jesus! Let's get Matt in here; he's a very talented young man, and with a smart and friendly head on his shoulders.

I first met him at the Lounge (Emotiva).

Please someone, tell him Bob (NorthStar) is here, and he's inviting him. ...Presto!

Klipschfan, are you a member of AudioCircle?

I just registered but they did not send me a confirmation!!!
I had to ask about five more times, but still no email!!!

And they don't have any email address to contact them so I can tell them that I did not receive any email.

Is this a "magic" site, with a special code to register?

EDIT: Does not work, because they mentioned the name SPAM, and they are afraid of the dark shadows! I dunno, first time it ever happened to me!
Very very weird; what to think of it?

Hey, how come I cannot register? They said five times they sent me an email but I got NOTHING!
And how do you contact them? It is frustrating.

Sometimes these things take time Bob. Fix yourself a nice cup of Chai tea, sit back, breathe deeply. Besides, AC allows you to peruse their threads even if you're not a member. Kinda' like here...

Hey, I spent over an hour in registering, and they SAID they SENT me an activation email!
But it WASN't true! ...I got no activation email.

And then I re-registered about five more times, with other usernames.
...And the same tune all over.

I am very calm, but don't tell me I got an email when I don't!

Then, after about two hours I posted this: "Me too I need help big time!"
...In a special section for guests like me totally lost in the cyber space, LOL.

BUT! I had to struggle quite a bit before posting it; and now my username over there is:
North Star Bob. ...But I first registered with my usual one: NorthStar.

Hey, I just want peace, and talk to my good friend Matt.

Hi Matt, very long time no see!

Lol, I am still waiting for my activation email from AudioCircle.

Wow, can't believe I'm talking to you; I remember very vividly the good late exchanges we had before over at the Lounge. Seems like a long time ago but at the same time like just yesterday.

Matt, I followed your evolution, and almost up until now. What a journey!

Well Matt, a very warm welcome here at this brand new audio site called AudioShark!
It's still too new to know what will be our next project all together lol.
But like they said; with a super good team of friendly people comes better/greater responsibilities... Or was it from Spider Man? Lol

Anyhow, you here, I here, and we all here now; let's have fun and share what we up to in life (audio wise and everything jazz else). ...One day at a time; slowly but surely.
And this thread right here (or you can start another) is as good a place as the Vatican in Rome.
People are going to flip when they discovered what you built, what you're building, and what you're going to build next! ...And that at your age most of us we were still bums and doing drugs lol.

Again Matt, very happy to see you, and Welcome!

I was just looking at your 'latest' 600 posts over at the Lounge, with your amazing pictures of all the projects you did (plus videos); when suddenly it came back to me! ...Your girlfriend's name: Gwen, right?

You're going to make some real good friends here too Matt.
And the stuff you make is going to melt some brain around here.

Feel right like in your own living room at home here, 'cause that's exactly what it is.

Just an FYI i will be getting this batch of cases done in the next few weeks.

A second batch will be made for others that are interested. I am charging $900 a case, also will build the amps for a $100 charge per amp. Just have to ship the kits to me.

    PM if interested.

This is what i wanted to post but i had to have a post count of atleast 10.

They took about 2 months to create. The enclosure is made out of 1" thick aluminum plate. Each speaker weighs 66 lbs. 8.5"x12"x14".

I love how they turned out

Ah, Gretchen, right; she seems to be real nice, just like you.

    * Do you like the site's design Matt? ...Me I think it's awesome!
And even more awesome are the people inside it; the members here. ...All of them!
    ...And more.

Lots of room to progress positively here, and already we are on our way to audio nirvana, lol.

Take your time Matt; observe, jump in the air, rejoice, and share your 'strut' with us.
...We're only at the beginning, but a very beautiful beginning; and it can only get better from here.

We try too to have more participation from the ladies. Soooo, if you know some who like nice people and also nice things in life (high-heeled shoes, purses, fancy dresses, underwear garments, etc.), just invite then in!
And if you know a thing or two about me, you already know that I'm always working on it myself.

    Hi Bob,
They have great bass for their size, i can turn them up very loud with no ringing (aluminum) or distortion. What i like the most is the highs and mid highs are very clear cut. No fuzz. Just clean sound

I have them crossed over at 90hz when i use my subs.

Sadly no websites or blogs. Just thousands of pictures posted on various forums.

I should make a blog one of these days. I've got tons of old porojects and new ones to share.

    Matt,

    1. Great that you love the sound of your speaker's design.
    * Just a remark: the front edges (sides), I think that they should be curved from their front face and going towards the sides. ...Because they abruptly bounce the high frequencies; which I don't believe to be a good idea. ...Rounded side edges would have been a better 'sound' design (mathematically measured and scientifically proven wise).
    - I followed your thread right from their first conception, design, cutting, changes, and final stage. And I also read all the member's comments on them, but couldn't reply, as you well know, and that's what I thought and still think today.

    2. Matt, I'll see if I can post a link on most of the stuff you produced in the last couple months or so. ...If you don't mind of course.

...Only positive criticism Matt. ...What I'd love to see is a professional audio reviewer like John Atkinson from Stereophile reviewing them.

And John is a member here.

I have been told my front baffle with change the sound so may times now. They sound great. Danny Richie (GR Research) told me that it would effect the sound, I didn't believe him, so he tested this himself. He got a 3db bump in the upper frequencies. But one thing, he tested his speakers with a side edge protruding the front edge of the baffle, my side edges are in line with the front and not protruding past the tweeters face plane. So his test meant nothing to me.

Also placed hard material into the side edge and make it flat across the baffle and heard no differences in sound. It just not effect anything

No need to post a link bob, I'll make new projects and post them here. The NC400 build is almost done and i will post more pictures.

Unless he came here for a review, i would NEVER ship these speakers but i might be driving them down to Emofest this summer. I brought my TT~1 last year and Dan Luafman (Emtiva CEO) paid me $4,000 for it
